How to fight the sock monster

It's Monday and that means wash day in our house. We spent so many years holding on to missing pairs of socks in hopes that their match would magically re-appear again. During my baby shower someone, told me this clever tip on how to get rid of the sock monster for good! Stick all your socks in inexpensive mesh lingerie bags and throw the mesh bag in with your other cloths to be washed and dried. I promise you will never loose your socks again. Works wonders for those tiny baby socks that get caught in the new washer door flaps too. This will make pairing your socks after they are washed a snap and you can even have color coded bags for each family member's socks too. Happy wash day! :)

  2. Yeah we suffer with the sock monster, but not as much as we used to. Laren suggested buying Lewis a whole new set of socks that are all the same and that has worked very well. Most of his socks were from before his mission, so I had him take them all to be recycled and he went and bought 17 pairs of plain black socks. It has worked a treat!

  3. Thanks Emma, ya having the same kind of socks helps. I have heard people use cloths pins to pin together pairs of socks especially small baby sock so they stay together or just roll the tops of the socks together and wash them that way too so they are always with their pair. Thanks for the tip and thank Lauren too for me. :)

  4. My dad and brothers used to have the same kind of sock so my mom came up with the idea to label them each on the bottom with their initials so they could keep track of their own socks. Initialing things is a great idea for your kids cloths too especially if you have kids about the same age and sex you can label the tag on each clothing item so you remember who's is who's. Also a quick way to get your cloths or items back if they left them at school in the lost and found or at a friends house. Thanks everyone for your comments. This is so fun! :)
